I’ve just worked out, I’ve destroyed over 20 engines and about 8 gearboxes in my motoring career. Some of it on track, most just cruising.

One of the very few I didn’t was the Honda 2litre in a rover 620, although still managed over 250,000 miles on it

Well, had my first proper, bum clenching, car drifting, flat out , “contest” on the a30 with, I assume,a repmobile. Big Audi covered in road grime. My speedo doesn’t work but it was one of those heart pace high, two-hands gripping the wheel stuff.
Result.
England 1. Germany 0.

Tbh he was probably looking at his entertainment centre and I was just hanging on, but he still bottled out

If and when I move I will miss the a30. 100 mile two lane racetrack

Yes I have seen it (Curbs) and avoided the clouts of earth/grass flung out towards spectators!
