Which makes 139.5 BHP/ton which is a bit annoying as I was aiming for the 135BHP/ton class in our championship

Hardly “shot myself in the foot” - the championship we’re running with required a power run on their chosen dyno and weighing on their kit - I personally think that’s the way ahead and having power/weight from any old dyno or council tip weighbridge (accurate to 50kg) isn’t cricket (and that was my stated view when we first went to power/weight regs).

With the SSSC I would have changed things and resubmitted for weighing or power runs before the first event - not sure how we have that option with CM?

Bugger - just realised what I changed - the Wheels and tyres

The change in tyre handicap figure between SSSC and CM meant it probably isn’t worth running the 1B I would have run in SSSC (R888R on steel Wellers) so I fitted the RS3 on OZ Fittipaldi alloys. If they’re different by a couple of Kg each, along with a bit less fuel, it could easily explain the 11kg difference. I’ll try and weigh them sometime.

But with 118bhp even at the original weight you would be over 135bhp/ton...
By my calculations, you would need 30kg of ballast to get under 135bhp/ton

As far as my crude maths can handle... :w

135 bhp/1000kg is 114 bhp/846kg

At 118 bhp, weight to achieve 135/1000 is 874kg

With CM it doesn’t matter of course :)

Both correct but in the SSSC I was 110BHP at 857.5Kg, the change in rolling road and wheels/tyres has put me over the 135BHP/ton - it’s just one of the unforeseen disadvantages of running to two sets of differing rules.

I’m not going to add 30kg to get back into the SSSC lower class, so we’ll just see what happens this season.

Is that tow point on the diff Jim and just held up high to make it obvious or does it connect to something else via the boot?

Towed it up on the Freelander and got a new ticket on that too.

Motorhome is in for MOT on Thursday so I should be ready for Gurston on Friday :P
