Corky's Scimitars (..and now an SS1 race car build)

Exhaust partially fitted. I removed the turbo elbow so I could remove the seized nuts on the square section. This necessitated some use of power tools, reciprocating saw to cut the original down pipe in half so it could be removed. Anyhow, new kidney and square gaskets fitted, down pipe fitted, rear box hung, centrepipe still on the garage floor. Unfortunately whilst unpacking it, I found a crack (see photo). It looks like it split during the bending process. It was covered with the manufacturers packing, so there's no way it would've been noticed before it was dispatched. Nigel is sending a replacement ASAP, always great service from QRG. Plenty of other things to get on with though.

Secondary throttle return spring fitted.

I can't find anywhere in the regs where it says you have to have one. But I sort of remember reading it in there in the distant past. However, it's a good safety feature, so I've fitted one.

Be surprised if it's been removed, probably in one of the other sections rather than sprint/hills section but worthwhile nonethelesa
