SE5 sump removal

Post by Jonp » Sun Jul 07, 2019 4:32 pm

I want to replace my oil pump pencil drive and have two questions

1. Do I just have to remove the cover plate in pic 2 to access the rear sump bolts or is there more to it?

2. How much wiggle room do I need to drop the sump as the crossbrace in pic 1 appears to have been previously jacked up and damaged, I am worried if I need to remove the brace that I'll struggle to get it back in!

Thanks

Jon

I would just unbolt the cross member .
It should go back ok
And remove the tin plate on the bell housing
