Window felt scraper seals SE5 - Parts missing / Wanted ?
Chaps, when I got the car it had SS1 external seals retro fitted, I have bought the seals/strips from QRG but cannot see how to attach them to the doors ? I am assuming I am missing some clips or the like ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can do pics later today, but I know they show up in the factory manual as I have supplied a few over the years.
Don`t think I have any spares left tho

In my experience the alloy pop rivets corrode and the SS pressing falls off.

The stainless trim was only fitted on the SE5a, not the SE5 as far as I'm aware, and certainly not any of the first 500, although they can be retro-fitted.
On the SE5 the seal can be glued straight to the inside of the opening using a polyurethane sealant.

These are the ones I used. I used Stixall to glue them in place after the door had been rebuilt and my wife sacrificed two clothes pegs as wedges to hold them in place while the adhesive set.
I found the original seals in the bottom of the door. They didn't have any holes in them so I presume they were originally glued on (on the Coupe, at least).
Out of interest, Stixall is the stickiest adhesive I have found and it is completely waterproof. The seals won't come off!

I bought them a few years ago and can't remember where from now. Woolies do something similar, though.
I only fitted one on the outside as the inside had a plastic T-shaped trim stuck to the top. I think this is one of the areas where the Coupe differed from the SE5 as Jim's pic clearly shows one each side and my car was completely standard when I got it.

You can just make out the heads of the dissolved alloy pop rivets in the Top SS stamping, that was the Exterior one
And they had another go at fixing the bottom one, as witnessed by the extra holes
which was the Inner fitting.
