rear brake sliders

Help !! How do these go together ? By copying the other side ( in reverse) I have fitted the distance piece and repatinder but I'm really stuggling on ho wto fit the spring retainer .

Does it come in from the handbrake lever side and 'forks' up or down ?

Any tricks I'm missing and I presume the rubber seal goes on last ?

Problem as I don't have the manual numbering which is which ! LOL

On the photo which is which please and what is up / down compared with handbrake lever please ?

Last time I worked on brakes with sliders like these was on a Sunbeam Alpine sports back in 72 !

I’m not sure which manual it’s referring to (there are a few) but the parts list is quite good for orientation, and is on the GW site.

Edit - autobooks as mentioned in the link

Sussed it :) It goes against logic as you look at expect it to fit in order 1, 2, 3 and it actually goes 1,3 and then fit 2 to keep it all in place. :) Thanks for all clues .
