Se5 Fuse Ratings

Post by Roger Pennington » Fri May 02, 2014 7:12 pm

Jim's list of Se5 fuse ratings copied from another thread and stickied for reference:
not sure if this is stickied or not but I will copy it here again:

From the top:

Overdrive - 10A

Side, panel & number plate lights - 10A

Heater motors, wipers/washers, reverse lights, fuel & temp gauges, indicators & brake lights - 50A

Horns, HRW, headlamp flash, bonnet light, cigar lighter & clock - 50A

The lower carrier fuses are arranged:

Main beam warning light & outer main beams - 50A

Inner main beams - 50A

LH outer dip - 25A

RH outer dip - 25A

the 25A & 50A fuses seem excessive to me on the headlights - the top two presume that everything is turned on at once, so won't protect much in isolation IMO.

Quick addition - Glass fuses are rated at their "blow" rating which are the figures given above. Continuous rating is half that above figures.

Never try and argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you based on experience.
