Historic Wheels Brodie Castle 2018

My usual report on this show which again saw us with five cars - 2 x SE5a, 1 x SE6a and 2 x Middlebridge - and a Reliant Kitten!

The furthest travelled award went to Mark and Kim who joined us from Central Scotland, the rest of us were locals. :)

They run this show in date order and so managed to get the 1970's cars and 1980's Middlebridge together but that left Robbie out on his own in the 1990's section!

Other highlights of the show (for me) were this unrestored Bentley

This Daimler Conquest

This car I had never heard of, a Glas 1700GT. Built for the 1966 Earls Court Motor Show it is the only known RHD example. Originally owned by Danny La Rue who purchased it off the stand and had to wait four months for it due to its promotional commitments! A bit of irony there!

This E Type was bought new in 1969 by a local estate owner who had it modified by a company Williams and Pritchard coachworks before it was registered in 1970.

I think it might divide opinion but it had more room in the boot!

Unfortunately the rain came on about half way through the show but it was light and no real inconvenience, it did show up the hard work in polishing the 5a though.

And finally, just because I like the tree..... :)

Cool, I cleared off when the rain started so never really got a good look around.
