Southern Classics Drive-it Day Run, 22/04/18

Post by Roger Pennington » Mon Apr 30, 2018 7:24 pm

As usual, Southern Classics held a run to coincide with Drive-it Day, we drove though the lanes of West and East Sussex, finishing-up at Herstmonceux Castle. The start and coffee halt points were at suitable rural refreshment places :)

There were 48 cars that took part, too many to mention them all, there's a full album from the day on our website here Southern Classics Herstmonceux Photogallery. One which caught my eye was the beautifully-done 2-litre Subaru engined Nova. For much of the first leg in the morning, Tony Penfold's TVR 350i was followed by the Nove, which was followed by my SS1 - wedge-tastic!

The Castle looked great in the sunshine, and later it was a great opportunity for a bit of a photo-op! :D

Yes, it's very nicely finished, the interior is well-done too: :)
