Just received confirmation that the dates will be 20-22 July 2018, so I've booked accommodation.
Mr GoldTop, please say you'll organise this again this year, we love what you do.

Silverstone Classic 2018

Morning Philip,
I was only thinking about this the other day.... if there’s enough interest, then I’ll organise it again for 2018 although I did have negative thoughts straight after this years Show, mainly
1. size of club stand we get allocated versus number of cars we display. This is due to a certain German car club who have acres of parking that is not used for 90% of the time and we are crammed into a space so tight that we can hardly open the car doors......
2. Number of “new” car clubs in the infield. No names but the club we were adjacent to this year didn’t have a car older than a ‘61 plate and used their space as a club car park, whereas we “display” our cars with the usual banners/sail flags and put on a show.
3. Value for money. Not sure on prices yet but I bet they go up this year as it’s been static for at least 2 years now.

I love the classic racing and evening music but most importantly the RSSOC guys and gals who support the event each year.
For those of you who attend regularly, please let me know if you would like to go again in 2018?
Looks like I have one “yes” already eh Philip? :D

Cheers
Kev O

Hi Kev,
As much as we love the get together a Silverstone I'm afraid we wont be able to make the whole weekend 2018. We've got a wedding in June (in Italy) and because of holiday restraints it's become a tossup between Silverstone and ~Curborough. I'm afraid Curborough won for the reasons you've already given. We'll visit either Saturday or Sunday if there's a Scim stand.

Hi Kev, I'm planning to be there in 18 - either in JOAN or recently acquired 6a.

I only ride 'em - I dunno what makes them work
