Got my tickets yesterday, and I note that I have N°1 - does that infer some sort of honour, or simply that it's my round?

As my two able bodied assistants have decided to be elsewhere at the time of Scimfest I am looking for more than the usual numbers of gate and car parking people to assist on the Saturday and Sunday so if you could spare an hour or so it would be greatly appreciated by all who run the show on your behalf, there will as usual be a board up in the marquee for you to add names and a contact number if you'd oblige we'd be ever so grateful, be great if aside the usual suspects who willingly put up with me each year if others could assist please.
Cheers, Mike.

Ps you get to tell some Ferarri drivers to cough up or they ain't coming in

What does everybody do for lunch? I assume there will be at least a hamburger stall, or a food truck?

Which days will you be there? On the Saturday and Sunday, the resident burger shack is usually open at lunchtime. Hopefully that will be the same this year? :)

If you'll be there on the Friday (or Thursday) too, then usually you need to make your own arrangements (which may depend on whether you're camping or staying in a hotel/B&B). I believe there's the Fradley Fryer a short distance away on the industrial estate, or there are some local pubs (IIRC you're an inland waterways man? We're only a short distance from Fradley Junction). Make yourself known, there will be plenty of people there to help :)

Only one week to go!
The 'Dinner Jackets' snack bar (by the finish line commentary box) will be open from 0900 both Saturday and Sunday for breakfast and will stay open for lunches, hot and cold drinks, etc. into the afternoon until orders/sales dwindle.
This is the only catering outlet that will be open on site over the weekend, so please take your own food and drink for all other times.
There will not be any drinks/refreshments available in the marquee at any time, so please take your own for the marquee entertainment Friday and Saturday evenings.
Hope to see you there.

Hi Scimmy Mike. I'll be there on both Saturday and Sunday and will be more than willing to do my bit on the gate. See you there.

Best wishes
