Oulton Park Saturday 10th June

Post by littlestwoo » Wed May 24, 2017 7:41 pm

Featuring Formula Vintage
Seems to be quite a bit going on
I'm getting in for free with the Scimitar, taking the teenage girls and Mrs Littlestwoo who are now into classic racing :-)
Anyone else going?

Hi All,
This is the annual Oulton Park " Vintage Sports Car Club " meeting, featuring special races FOR PRE WAR AND POST WAR cars eg ERA'S, BUGATTI, BENTLEY, and many many more,
The Bullnose will be making the 66 miles ( each way 2.30hrs journey ) from Clitheroe, via B/burn, Chorley, Wigan, Warrington, Stockton Heath A49 to Little Budworth.
I'm supprised you've managed to get free tickets to this event, we have been going there for the past 30 to 40 years, and have always had to pay in advance via the VSCC, discount
Early start for the Auto Solo held in the morning
Regards
Alan

This event wasn't on my radar until they emailed me an invite to attend and show.

I simply emailed then with a picture of my 6a and asked whether I could show it, a few days later I had a pass for the car and a free entry ticket. Will be paying £60 to get the rest of the family in with the advance tickets.

Really looking forward to it after going to the Gold Cup (August) and Aston Martin day (May), which where both very enjoyable days. The Girls find these events very glamorous, gives then something a little different to post on Facebook, Instagram, etc...

Hello Landowner, if your going to tag on, be prepared to be traveling at a maximum speed of 40 mph and on hills and as low as 20, be warned

It seems that car clubs do get an invite, I've just spoken with the Events team at MSV sadly too late for this year but have requested they email me to organise for the club for next years event, will post when I hear from them.

Yes, the info I got back included that 'there will be Marshall's directing you to your car club'
Sounds like a similar setup to the Gold Cup Event in August.
I'm planning on parking up, abandoning the Scimitar and going to ogle everyone else's cars.
