Sounds right up my Alley. My 'dear beloved' and I will come and drag along my 5a from the much maligned Swindon Town

Hmmm, I live in Shipton Oliffe and this is the first I've heard about it. However, it is correct and the info is here: http://www.classicshowsuk.co.uk/classic ... sp?id=1048.

For those attending, don't head into Shipton Oliffe itself as the sports field is the other side of the A40 to the right of The Frogmill pub and adjacent to the golf course.

Unfortunately my Coupe has only just had its final paint so I'll be walking over. Definitely next year though. :D

(Coincidentally the Shipton Oliffe Fete is the day before.)

Saw a notice for it today on the Andoversford bypass. Note to self - BE MORE OBSERVANT (or join the CCCC)! :)

I'll see you there.

Sounds like a good opportunity, but this week-end clashes with RIAT (avoid all roads leading to Fairford, long traffic queues every morning!)

That's my plan. Sit in my brothers back garden watching RIAT from a few miles away 8)

Actually things are much better organised at RIAT weekends these days. There are bound to be peak time issues, but generally they get them in quick and delays are minimal. Some car shows could learn a thing or two from them.

Nice little show. Lots of British classics and some Americana. I like these little gatherings, as we were parked promptly and there was plenty to see. Beautifully presented MGs, Jags, Stags, applenty. Some more unusual stuff, Singer Gazelle, Sunbeam Tiger, Imps and loads of old Mini's.

3 Scimitars, two 5As, mine from Swindon and another, of the same colour from Northampton with it's twin turbos and 300+ horse power and a very well presented cream coloured GTC.

The sun was, however, relentless and we had to call it a day by about 3pm, both having had plenty. Time to invest in some portable shade methinks. Nice drive home though, down a little Roman road called White Lane to Cirencester and then a short run along the A419.

Phone's been playing up, so no pictures sadly.

Steve

I've had a real petrolhead-day - Prescott Member's Garden Party in the morning and Cotswold CC Show in the afternoon. :D

I didn't get a photo of the GTC but here's yours:

..... and here's the twin-turbo. You need to be an experienced knitter to design that pipework!
