ScimFest @ Curborough 17-19 August 2018

Post by ScimmyMike » Tue Sep 05, 2017 4:44 pm

From our Scimitarweb Home Page

Our Club weekend event at Curborough – re-branded ScimFest – was held from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 August 2017.
Bookings for the Club’s flagship weekend and best event of the year – ScimFest at the Curborough Sprint Course (previously known as the National Sporting Weekend) – were down, but did pick up a couple of weeks prior to the event, with almost full numbers for the Sprint on Sunday and the campsite was nearly full for the Saturday night (but not as full as previous years for the other nights).

A huge amount of work goes on by volunteers to set up the temporary campsite, etc. to bring you ScimFest @ Curborough.
The 2017 event was a success, despite initial low numbers booked, but to enable us to plan ScimFest @ Curborough 2018 – which is the 50th Anniversary of the GTE – we need your support and commitment to attend, so bookings need to be received before the deadline on the booking form that will be included with Slice 281 May - June 2018.

The dates for ScimFest @ Curborough 2018 are Friday 17 to Sunday 19 August 2018. The campsite will open the afternoon of Thursday 16 August and close the morning of Monday 20 August 2018.

Please put these dates in your diary and keep that long weekend clear in 2018.
We hope to see you there.

If you can see the tree before you hit it that's understeer

Is there any way this can be booked online? In previous years this has been possible.

Online booking is normally added at the same time as the Slice with the form arrives on the doormat - I assume this year will be the same?

For those that do not follow the compies section I would get your entry in quickly.
There is a maximum of 75 entries at Curborough.
There are around 82 members of Classic Marques plus H&DLCC members, plus Association of West Midland Motor Clubs, plus the Ferrari Owners Club, plus the TR Register.
Space at the event could be tight please apply early.
