Southern Classics - Tangmere - Sun April 9th

Postby Roger Pennington » Wed Apr 05, 2017 1:17 pm

Just a quick mention that this Sunday, April 9th, sees the first Southern Classics show of the year, at Tangmere Aviation Museum. This replaces the show which we used to hold at Chichester College, a venue we have now outgrown. Full details are in the information flyer below:

Gah!

Can't believe I missed this. I was out in my Scim and saw a couple of nice classics going past the Roperackle heading towards Worthing. Wondered if there might be a car show nearby. I bet they were heading to this.

Dangnabbit!

Oh dear, that's a shame :(

Sorry we didn't see you. This probably isn't going to help, but the attendance was a record, beating even past Chichester shows, and estimated at over 550 cars. I'm currently working on sorting out the photos and preparing the report & photogallery for our website, which is a fairly big task for a show of this size.

It's worth having a look at the events page on the website for the calendar of future events :)

I hope this isn't rubbing salt into the wounds, Tim, but I ought to mention that a show report and also a 370 picture photogallery are now on our website :D

Thanks Dave, :D

Peter, Yes, all being well, I shall be there, camera at the ready. Don't expect 550+ cars to turn up though! Our driving runs are much more low-key affairs, which may involve arrangements with pubs for refreshments/catering, or separate allocated parking at our destinations, - we had 50 people on the run to CCK Historic earlier in the year. If you're about, then drop by and say hello! :D
