Sorry, it's a Welsh joke that English visitors keep boring us with. We seem to have more painted SLOW signs than anywhere else in britain.

My favourite one is along a 60 road outside usk you can still see the markings even though the roads clearly straight for the next few miles :roll:

Many years ago grand-parents drove to some holiday in Germany and kept seeing signs for a large town /City called 'Ausfahrt', but wasn't on their paper-maps . .. . . :shock:

I've always wonder what "slow" means - does it mean slower than you are going or snail's pace - why don't hey just put a speed limit on it - easy for all to understand - what is slow in one car is fast in another. Daft sign.
