Online Registrars Form - now live!!
RSSOC Registrars plea
Can the registrars please ask all you lovely Scimitar owners to please help us update our records by filling in our new online registration form
This form is sent to me as registrars coordinator and then I forward them onto the relevant registrar. All the data is secure and is invaluable to the club as we maintain an archive of all the surviving cars and records of those which have gone to a better place
Simply click on the link below and fill in the form with as much info as you can and we’ll do the rest. We will not share your information with anyone unless you expressly allow it should a previous owner get in touch for example.
If this new method of gathering data works we may well tweak the form as required but hopefully it’ll be easy to use and great for us.
If you have already registered in the past please can you do it again so we can update existing records too?
Many thanks in advance, Matt (Coupe Registrar and registrars coordinator)

Call me suspicious but not keen to add all my cars’ details inc address. To me it’s potentially asking for scroates attention????

The data is held by the club and not shared with anyone so will not attract the scroates attention. The only time we’d share info is if a previous owner asked to be put in touch with their old car and then we’d only do it if the current owner said yes.
The online form is just an updated way of collecting the data we always did on the old paper forms
Registering your car is also entirely optional. We hope everyone does it but is always your choice

I trust you're going to incorporate all the hard work Chris Johnson has already put into his Alternative Coupe Register? He has information on cars that will never get reported on the online registration form.

Have fun with mine, just took about half an hour of file referencing to get it accurate for you, not exactly complete but not exactly a small entry neither

Chris remains happy to share any new information he finds with me and he’s open that large amounts of his data has come directly from me anyway.
I’ll look forward to seeing your registration forms David

Morning again all,
As soon as we started receiving large numbers of forms it seems we have hit the limit on the jotform system and will not be able to receive any more forms after midday on Monday.
All is not lost though, this exercise has proven that online submissions do work and so discussions will now be had with our webmaster about recreating this form on the club website so we have an in house version
Thanks to all who have sent in a form, you’ve really helped prove the theory and I’m very grateful to you all for it.
Watch this space now as Ian Rushin and the committee work towards getting a more permanent system in place
Thanks again, Matt

I have a clever alternative way to see if a cars in the database that can be accessed even if third party storage goes down, if you get intrigued give us a nudge

What's the latest?
Are you ready for members to begin updating their details yet?
I wait with bated breath!!
