There’s some options at the top of your post - one is edit, another is delete.

Sorry, I may have misread - was the question aimed at me as a moderator (can scimjim edit/delete all posts) or were you referring to yourself (can jond edit/delete all of his posts)?

The answer to the first version is yes. The answer to the second version is yes, apart from those that have been moved to the members only technical archive area

The exception for deletion is the first post of a thread if there have been replies, or in a locked thread.

Ah - I didn’t know the first post in a thread was locked. Makes sense I suppose.

Sure we should have some control over older posts though. Even if there have been replies

Do you have a specific post in mind? PM a moderator if you’d like something edited that you can’t do yourself.

Is it fair to ban a member but keep them as a member?

Ronnie can't edit or delete his posts like all other members can.... yet the admins won't consider his request to leave the forum and have his posts removed.
If he remains a member then surely he has the right to edit or delete his own posts???

It was stated on the other thread (now locked) - mentioned by jond above - that Ronnie can't request his posts be deleted because of a Forum Rules change in 2017.
Surely amended rules would only apply to members joining after that date? These should be new terms and conditions for new members - This Copyright rule was introduced last year 2017

Ronnie joined under different rules...............8 years ago when RSCC Ltd was also never mentioned in the small print

He is quite willing to have his material stored in the database as he agreed to at the time of joining - but he does not want it displayed despite
the goalpost rules being moved. Surely it is reasonable to allow his posts to be removed if we deny him the right to edit them?
