Historic GB plate help wanted

Post by Sabreite » Mon Aug 13, 2018 1:34 pm

Hi can anyone advise where I could obtain, a replica or preferably, an original GB plate, exactly as per the attached photo (1963 RAC). I need to put one on the car to go over the channel and it would be nice to fit a period item to the car.
Thanks John

I doubt you'll find that exact style, judging by what's NOT shown on Google Images, but if you can tolerate period style then the usual suppliers have quite a range:

Europa
SVC
Holden
Halcyon
Retro Classic
Vintage Car Parts... OR...

you can get a bespoke replica made up with the precise year you wish, here: http://www.volkswagenemporium.co.uk/sho ... BusGbplate

Looks like they have 1963 in stock in the T25 class (whatever that is - I don't know VW).

Thanks I will try and contact these guys tomorrow and see if they can reproduce the plate, while I try and find an original.
