Yes, I think it has been on here before - is it called a Scimitar?

Looks like a Hommel but I didn't know they existed in convertible form.

De La Chapelle Roadster.
Spot on. Mooted to be the base for next Scimitar in about 2005.

I’d never heard of a Hommell but they are clearly the same from the A posts, forward.

It's about time we had another quiz.
I have removed most of the many clues, I thought of disguising the background as well but I really haven't the time 8)
Bikers will instantly recognize the MV Agusta color scheme but is that a clue?
And of course the nose is off a Ferrari 250GTO, or is it?

That's the "Marina Rolls Royce". Read more here. [Edit} Also worth a look here - Bonhams sale description from when they offered it for sale in 2005

Coincidentally, I saw it in action only 10 days ago:

As a Sussex Coast dweller myself, it's origins are quite local to me, though I didn't know that until I looked it up. I suspect that these days, with their close ties to Goodwood (as well as their ownership by BMW - a brand with some sporting credentials (!) ), Rolls Royce may be a little more tolerant? One thing that I wasn't aware of until I looked it up, was that Alan Mann started his activities round here too. :D

I associate Alan Mann with Fairoaks because that’s where his helicopter operation was - I thought his racing operation was nearby?
