Old and Slow - Worthy of a tipple (three) points
for making all these connections Scottish - road tae Dundee and New York

I nod my hat to you Sir and your Carlsberg of a caption.
Not convinced other watchers will get it but I certainly do (smiley face)

Spot the Scimitar - fun caption quiz

Looks like the tow cable is still connected to the launch plane. Very Scimitaresque....

When I tried learning to pilot a glider, the local club used to use a winch with two big American V8s attached, made a lovely noise. Seeing that string brings back memories of being told to correct the yaw.

manny - your're a star and your comment deserves a + point

oldbean- sadly, your attempt at humour is not in the same league, and IF I'm allowed, was constructed in a manner to be inflamatory and not in the spirit of the topic title.

You do know that young childeren could be watching and might take offence at just a small portion of your comment where you state "even bigger xxxx on"

The Rules and Guidelines are quite clear
Perhaps a mod can help out here??
I think just stating xxxx-on is OK (smiley face)
but when "even bigger" was used then it may have just crossed the line of decency for our younger watchers (smiley face)

Please try and stay on topic for a + point.

In the absence of any other contributor, and trying to keep in the SPIRIT of the caption competition, here's a picture for you to ponder:
If you can't think of a caption, then how about identifying the three distilleries.
Usual rules apply, no prizes, just a pat on the back for the best reply.

Like a finger pointing way to the moon.. Passenger 3708 posts various photos proving that he has an even bigger passion for aviation than he does for disproving and dissaproving of the existence of the majority of the 3708 forum members. :)
Now - be nice !!!
This took a bit of effort to get a photo to fit the caption.

Certainly not a Tribute to McGonagall.
I'm sure you'll approve Old and Slow

Tragedian Ode

If McGonagall fae Fife
wiz brought back tae Life
ah can hear him Boast
wid thir b another Toast
or furme ‘twould be Roast

I’ve served ma months Time
fur such a wee Crime
but let it b known am feeling jist Fine
tae toe them few their party Line

or else furme it b’nuther wee Ban
remember this yin hiznae the Van
He’s jist an auld Reliant Scimitar Fan
It’ll no b Coventry again if I Can
Coz this time I’ll b getting a Tan

Noos the time tae seek the View
Fae the whole damn Crew
And not just those yins so Few
Who’ll just sit and stew
Perhaps its just 1 Barney Mcgrew

I’m sure the majority don’t Hate
Them so few who stifle Debate
But if he looks out his big Mate
it could be my own down Fate.

So I thought I’d Repent
Before I’m Spent

Spot the Scimitar - fun caption quiz

Seems to be a "Northern" thing, all that rhyming stuff. Well, here goes: (more plagiarising than a plague on your house): :)

Then let us pray, that come what may,
And it will come, for all that,
That sense and worth, over all the Earth
Shall bear the win, and all that.
For all that, and all that
It's coming yet, for all that,
That Man to Man, the World over,
Shall brothers be, for all that.

(with apologies to the Scots dialect).
Yes, we are our brothers' keepers.
