Mystery Car

I'm unfortunately not going to be of much help either.
When I first saw the picture, the first name that popped to mind was Lenham...
The car certainly seems too small to be based on a Daimler Dart, Harrington Alpine or Trident Clipper.
But looking closer, I think Jim might well have nailed it with Ashley.

How about this one guys? A few mention of early reliant or Ogle designs were made. I'm stumped.
May I ask where you came across the picture? And would you mind if I used on www.viaretro.com

Kind Regards,

Stephen started this thread, at about the time that the thread started on Pistonheads, so I guess there's a link? I think there's only one known source for the photo, which is the book that Stephen mentioned earlier in this post, and illustrated a couple of posts later.

Personally I just think it’s a very well made home built special , latest thoughts on another forum are that it’s a FSO Syrena Sport , similar but not near enough .

That particular picture in the OP was from flickr i think, but it's a scan from the book. I first learnt about the car on Pistonheads abd thought the Scimitar gang might know. Roger is correct. Turns out no one knows, anywhere. It's so crazy.

I've seen the picture of my book, on my upturned footstool in various places on the web over the last few years! Feel free to use anything.
