In a similar vein, my old chemistry teacher, who looked after the school armory also, had the reg BUR1N, which was one that had to be explained.

Virtually all the cars on Sunday would probably qualify for this thread, but this one stood out: It is actually a "personal plate" as it (and the car) belongs to the AA
You can read the full story of the car here

mod edit - some posts have been deleted
Will’s thread, Will’s rules
I must admit to wondering why some were “good or appropriate” but it’s just a bit of fun

Good or Appropriate Number Plates
There are many in this thread that I do not find particularly pleasing, but as Jim says it is a bit of fun and they clearly have interested the poster sufficiently to warrant the time and effort of posting them - so we all have a different opinion on what is good or appropriate, that's life!with a pleasing (to me) combination of letters and numbers or plates that are appropriate to the car in question.

My reasoning behind the ones I post is as quoted above (with my emphasis) and I don't expect everyone will like the ones I like but, hey ho.

As for 4 YZ, it is "good" to me as it is an early low number Londonderry plate and looks like it has been "out there" since issue and, as it is on a 2004 Volvo, I would like to think it is owned by someone who has acquired the plate through family rather than as a vanity plate, but who knows?
