Oo-er! I hope there's been no plagiarism going on here............

Quote from my description of my 5a from 2007:
"The original rear hatch handle was a feeble thing which had been heavily abused and had broken half way along its length. I replaced it with an alloy one adapted from an old refrigerator door handle."

True, but I don't think he was making them in 2007 - and mine didn't cost a penny 'cos it was off a scrap fridge........... :D

Bill and/or Andy Vine were making them in the 90s IIRC :-)

Correct both, a 6m long piece of non black carpet, length as given by on Nigel Palmer, well I thought if anyone would know how much I needed Nigel would be the man, now to see if he's right, will hopefully be making up some templates to assist others as there doesn't appear to be any about at all, wish me luck.
Interesting to know that Coverdales and Aldridge both share similar 'issues' Geraint, is it the footwell carpet, and I'd guess it's too wide and edge bound so you can't really cut down, interestingly Coverdale have offered to edge bind footwell section if I return to them after cutting to size, maybe if that's your issue they may do the same for you as well.

You could probably find someone close to you that does carpet binding Mike, it's normally about 50p a running mitre to bind and you would save on postage.
