AVIATION ANYONE??

I saw the beautiful Sally B at Bournemouth this weekend. (and saw the Vulcan there two years previous)

Sally B was the highlight for me this year, such a magnificent, graceful.... killing machine! it flew right over us on the not so busy end of the beach as it left, it makes an awesome rumble for those huge radial engines.

Here's a few from this year's Goodwood Revival:

The P38 Lightning is a rare sight in this country, this one comes from the Red Bull Collection in Austria:

The variable weather that we had, offered opportunities as the light changed - these were taken in the Saturday evening display - Spitfire Mark IX MH434 and P51D Mustang "Miss Helen" dance amongst the clouds :D

stunning photo's Roger.
the chap that introduced me to the idea of coming to S.Africa was a tail gunner in a Lancaster bomber [one of the not so many to survive] and in his lounge he had a painting of Lancaster in amongst the clouds, I can still see the image 35 years on.
