A bit of digging in the archives has revealed that it ran up the hill in 2010 wearing number 16. It is a 1953 Disco Volante, though I was wrong about the engine - this is the rare 6 cyl 3000 cc version, of which there were apparently only 4 made. :D

Here's a picture I took of it in the paddock:

Nice spot! :D

Thanks Roger, thought it was a disco, also knew you'd know what it really was as I recalled the Goodwood sticker when I saw it, it was being towed by an Alfa 156 sportwagon, british plates when I saw it, guess he was either going home or arriving for some event or other

Oooo, thank you for the win!

I'd like to set the following challenge then -

"Your Scimitar (or modern) next to a vehicle which shares component(s) - with the Scim"

If Phil Howard or Loz park next to an Omega I'll shake a stick at them.....

Go ahead by all means, but if it's a shonky camera phone pic of part of your Scim next to a knackered Omega, don't be surprised when you don't win!

Suppose there's a lot of Ford Foci around too.... should you wish to try and pull that un ;-)
