Where did you upload it to? I was going to pass a copy to Peter for inclusion on the NE noggin page, then we have all wiring diagrams in one place?
toomanysabres wrote:Are these links to the Wiki. ??
Sorry - don't understand the question?
Probably me being dim but I noticed all the drawings in your link in the top post were Peter's. I thought they were Peter's submissions to Wiki as he has been more prolific doing diagrams but apparently not. Because then I looked in the Wiki and couldn't identify them there either. In the past I have uploaded SS1 diagram.pdf and last night I uploaded SS1 dim dip diagram.pdf. They say 'no pages link to the files' or some such message. I went round and round in circles trying to find where you edit in a link and eventually I gave up. Its not very user friendly. I have no idea where you select a link. The box perporting to show links isn't clickable to add anything perhaps I don't have the required rights.

Re: FAQ

Ah that'll be it then. FAQ's for wiring should be pointing to wiki I would have thought unless wiki needs a restriction on access and FAQ's don't. I would like the location to be somewhere I can upload to for other diagrams I have and be able to do edits on them. Shouldn't have a diagram in two places otherwise revision control goes out the window.

Here is what is on the page showing them

The dim dip must be somewhere since if I try it again it says its a duplicate but it doesn't show on the front list.
Must be me being dim & dippy :help: :bh

The FAQ won't be linked to documents within the wiki - the idea is, it's available for newbies who might not be members. Peter's wiring diagrams are available to non-members AFAIK? Obviously we should archive as much as possible in the wiki.

Thought that would be the case as I mused above. So:-
1) Have an unrestricted access folder for both of us to put wiring drawings to like (wash my mouth out) Yahoo as was.
2) Peter merges my drawings on his site. Not keen as wiki & Peter's site likely to get differences if edits done. Wiki & my PC already different in the one I can see I think.
3) If (1) could wiki point to this folder instead of inside a restriction area.

Jim. On a separate note can you see what is wrong/what I did in the SS1 section. Only one of two diagrams showing and no page links apparently.

I don't like having duplicate copies on different sites but I agree with the wiki being members only and being the Club's information repository. If Peter wishes to make them freely available then we just have to control updates. There should be no differences between your PC and wiki as you can update wiki page?

Will have a look - I'm no expert on the wiki and continually have difficulties myself. It's far from intuitive but it's the best we have, so I spend ages reading through the help sections!

This is what youve uploaded this year and i can view SS1 Wiring Diagram dim dip.pdf and SS1 SST Wiring Diagram dim dip.pdf - not sure why they don't work in the search facility?

Is it case sensitive? Your files are Wiring Diagram but your links are wiring diagram?
