Yeh, I should blend in nicely...

The weapon of choice at the moment is that bloody awful Bentley thing. They must've all traded in their RR Sports and Evoques.

Well guys we've had our Discovery3 for 9 years and it has been fantastic. 7 seats, goes anywhere. Fantastic tow vehicle. Long /short / motorway journeys brilliant. Does exactly what it says on the box and only got it stuck once . Does great doughnuts on ice too! My experience has only been positive. Just sayin' ........

Going to test a Kodiaq when I get back from Hols.

I'm using a Rapid whilst I'm away, and pretty impressed by It, which got me looking at Skoda's products online.

Spotted a used v10 tdi toureg the other day, should be fun and is big, just bland, but you could add some big 'oops innit and bling it up?

Narrowed the Touareg search down to a 2014 onwards R-Line 3.0 V6. I don't think you can get the V10 in that vintage, but happy to be corrected.

Not a great deal of boot space in the Kodiac from what I've seen with the 7 seat option Steve, our pooch wouldn't be able to sit in it upright like he seems to like doing 5 seater may create more space but I'd bet there's a false floor at the same height to make level with bumper

No idea Mike. Not seen one in flesh, but on the photos they look to be Q7/Touareg sized. And the write up describes them as an SUV version of the Superb. They may even be a superb SUV too.....

Do they make cars with a sensible load space any more?

I thought it was all intrusive panels, collagen bumpers, high thresholds and thick raked pillars now?

Give me a 90s Volvo estate any day..

Had a look at the Kodiaq today. In five seat form it's massive. Plenty big enough for my needs. However, I still prefer the Touareg. So I've just signed up for the VW... can't wait !

Thanks for all the suggestions and advice.

It's a snazzy detachable swan neck jobbie, with fold away electrics

Looking forward to doing some towing with it, 262PS/580Nm and 3500kg load limit. I just hope the MPG isn't too eye watering
