Not technically a “car” - but quite a shock to see an alloy P6 bootlid being used as a gate in a small village on the island of Gozo

That Hillman Avenger must been one of the first? folks had a Hillman Hunter Estate and I think it was also an 'L' plate (ASG 934L), but that was >30 years ago so maybe not?

I always enjoy seeing the recycled Western European cars in the East. Some badged Renault some Dacia, not sure who the manufacturer of the FIATalike is.

Murat 131
Main article: Tofaş Şahin
Tofaş industries in Turkey also based their initial production on Fiat 131s built under Fiat license. 131 based models included the Murat 131 built in Bursa, Turkey, the Doğan, Şahin and the Kartal (the estate). These vehicles enjoyed a very long production run (1986-2002 at Turkey, 1991-2009 at Egypt, 2006-2010 at Ethiopia), and were later replaced by newer Fiat models

Could be a nod to the colours of the Turkish flag.

I keep looking out for an Anadol but not seen one yet.

Used to be a lot more pickups around than saloons but it's been a long time since I was last there.

Lots of modern Jap/Chinese pickups about nowadays. Though there are still quite a few Renault 4 & 12 types.
