Saw this at the AutoRetroVosges last weekend. No identification apart from the Z on the wheel hubcaps and the bonnet, so i think it's a DatZun 280ZX; does anybody recognise it?

240, 260 or 280 - I don’t know all of the differences with US spec Z cars but it looks like a late model, so probably a 280?

i don't think the 240 was available as a targa..? - so we're down to 260 or 280 :)

Only the 280 was available as a factory targa but there were aftermarket kits for the 240/260 in the USA.

Just googled it though and the pic is definitely a 280 - totally different bodyshell to the earlier cars.

No pics but a trip to Nottingham today was punctuated by a veritable plethora of classics :D

A nice TR6 and some miles later a rat look TR6 :D

An old (narrow body) 911 being chased by a rattle can black 356 (chesil or more likely a Covin?) and a few miles later it was obviously a Porsche club meeting in a pub as there were 944 convertibles and a 986 amongst the parked cars.

I followed a very tidy mk4 spitfire (in turd Brown) for a few miles - he had LED rear lights and a high level brake light attached to his boot-rack, all very sensible but when I passed him he had the worst eBay special DRL LEDs on the front

A very tidy mk2 golf in Kermit green had obviously been highly modified, judging by the chirp from the turbo

It seemed to be 'take your old open top sports car to work' day today. 2 MGBs a Midget, a Series 2 Elan and something of early 1930's vintage. An SS1 doesn't get the appreciative waves that a Coupe or even GTE does - possibly a bit modern?

Saw an Alfa 4c on the way back from the workshop today and IMHO white is not the best colour for it :D

OTOH, the DB9 (at the Air Balloon roundabout) in a really dark aubergine looked fantastic :D

Been touring Wales this week with the wife in the SE5a. On Monday, when we passed through Gloucester, we were given the thumbs up by a chap driving a yellow Ferrari by the Air Balloon, which was nice.

North of Hereford, we exchanged waves with a red Gilburn Invader. Later, near Ludlow, we saw another, this time a dark green estate with a tan roof.

Oh, loads of Morgan's an' all. To many to mention, really.
