Actually there is something that looks like a Peugeot when you search Jaguar XF, but nothing that looks like ... er THAT :shock:

1951 Invicta Black Prince Shooting Brake, by Associated Coachbuilders Inc. It had a 3.0L 6cyl DOHC engine of 127 bhp.

Belonged to a friend of mine's father at one time. He fitted it with a 1725cc Rootes Holbay engine and Jaguar suspension.

Interesting, Jim, and according to DVLA it's still 1725cc (and untaxed) so presumably they've still not found the correct engine?

I just had a google to see what engines Invicta used in this (Meadows) and learnt several interesting facts such as Meadows made the Meteor engine (non supercharged version of the Merlin used in tanks). I knew Rover made them as Rolls-Royce ran out of capacity but never knew Meadows made them too.
