Storage

Post by scimjim » Thu Feb 07, 2013 11:15 am

meanwhile - back on topic, there is still room for a couple of cars in the Club storage facility and with some leaving in the next few months after being tucked up for winter, there'll be room for more :-)

edit - I've started another thread as it's interesting stuff, perhaps a mod could split out the discussion on lock-ups? (Thanks Roger :-))

GTE into storage today.

Used the SS1 all weekend and will miss it when it goes tomorrow. I hate winter.

couple of spaces left for winter storage this year - if your paint's suffering outside in this weather or your carpets are rotting away because of leaks - this is cheaper in the long term :-)

ha

if we all had waterproof cars with excellent paint, we'd want to keep them inside anyway :-)

If I was crazy enough to buy a project car, would storing it the club storage be okay, and second question is could you use it as a work space to get the car back on the road? - trying to talk myself out of a third car and second scimitar, but this could sway it ;) if the bank balance holds that is ;)

Thanks Jim, the only issue I would have would be how to get the car back on the road.... Will have to think about this some more....
