LHD drive Berkeleys were certainly made and exported to the US, and also raced:

They were available with Excelsior Talisman Twin 328cc, or Triple 492cc engines as above. Larger-engined versions with the bellowing Royal Enfield 700cc parallel twin 4-stroke engine in Meteor or Constellation tune were available (known as the B95 or B105) with a reputed top speed of 95 or 105 mph. If you were brave enough to get it there before it shook itself to pieces and you evacuated all bodily fluids, that is.

Simca Aronde was my first impression too, and I can tell you there is a link - but it is not french.
Not Russian either.

Ooh, that Berkeley is rather cute - so it seems the other quiz car IS a Berkeley.
