I remember seeing one of the 4-door Monteverdis (photo 6) at the Forfar Classic Car Auction many (over 20) years ago. No kidding. Most exotic and rarest car I ever saw there. Wasn't in best of conditions. Had a sign on the windscreen saying "Warning, no brakes"!
I was hoping to visit the Monteverdi museum is Basel. But found out this morning that it closed in 2016 . However some of the exhibits were transferred to the Museum I visited yesterday, so only a partial disappointment .
I remember them from playing TopTrumps in the 70’s. As you say, very exotic.
