Come on Steve, at least use the automatic spell check. LOL.
I only have Eight fingers so how can you count as high as 3108 members?? :?:

Payed should also come out as Paid,

And Jim you should be ashamed too, Rediculous

And before anyone has a go, this is a light hearted response.

Mark

To my knowledge no forum members are "paid up members" only club members pay club fees, the forum is free and information is given free. I can't see what the fuss over numbers is about.

Exactly Terry,
Although RSSOC Paid up members DO have access to ALL parts of this forum.

May I suggest that this "Argument/discussion" is locked out to prevent any further miss interpretation/argument/falling out.?? :?:

And at the end of the day, who cares how many folk have logged on or registered for ScimitarWeb, it`s only a bloody car club forum/helpline at the end of the day.
And I have been attacked/accused/vilified/told to shut up for my input in the past, but I have never purposely attacked anyone "Personally because of their views/opinions. :w

Sometimes I surprise myself by which forums I have previously joined and forgotten about. I found last week that the mig welding forum haven't booted me off after 5 years of inactivity thankfully. Welder duly fixed, thanks given.

Never know when I might have another Skoda and log back into that forum.

In all seriousness. Who actually cares? I hadn't paid the slightest attention to the numbers at the bottom of the main page until this thread pointed them out.
This is a very well organised and maintained active forum and I see no need for any such effort in culling what is to my mind an irrelevant set of figures.

Threads only get locked when they’ve become irretrievably off topic or excessively heated. The Mod Team would rather a sensible outcome from sensible discussion if at all possible.

As this one keeps being “reinvigorated” I don’t currently know if it’s good or bad but rest assured we keep an eagle eye on things..

Maybe we should care about the numbers. I mean REALLY care. To the point of obsession. My profile says I average 0.35 posts per day. Is that enough? Sure, many of them are garbage (not this'un mind). Am I better than someone on 0.03? If I reach 1.0 do I get some sort of award?

Conversely, maybe we should put posting limits on accounts. 10 per day, keep it short and sweet. More than 3k in 12 months and you get a compulsory account "vacation" and dispatched to the club time-share villa* for some R&R

*Yet to be acquired, but I hear Malta is very popular.
