Here is my car, still going strong, enjoying some fun in the Ocean loaded up for camping, surfing, canoeing; the works!

Very smart - it looks good working the way it was intended, roof rack and all!

Lovely GTE. I've been looking at suitable roof racks for mine recently as I want to carry my surfboard. Been trying out a temporary rack (x-rack) today but not convinced just yet. I'd be interested to know if you're getting any imprints on the roof from the feet of the rack...

it is fine so far, some small marks but nothing that won't easily polish out.

I see it as a price worth paying; use the car and maybe have a small mark or leave it in the garage....I haven't just spent thousands on a respray though!

I see all sorts of weird and wonderful racks; a couple of towels and some rope through the windows is popular.

I agree - they deserve to be used. I have a rack similar to yours in the garage which I may try but it looks like there is too much curve on it to use on the Scimitar roof. Currently looking at others on eBay...

Good idea. I tried the one I have last night and although it fits, it sits too high and is too short to look suitable for the car.
