Just how many SE6 cars are over here now?
Hi, Mark here from sunny Queensland. Well I know I have a 1978 SE6a car, and there is a GTC here in Redcliffe for sale also. Supposedly another SE6a is in the process of being imported by a Jag dealer here in Brisbane but that was 9 months ago and no news on that one. Sydney has a green one out of a private collection that was auctioned off 2 years ago but unheard of since and Western Australia has another GTE. Any other SE^ cars out there?
Were they ever sold new in Aussie or are they all private imports?

not sure why I missed this post first time round? I'll try and answer tomorrow but all of my information on NZ & Aus cars comes from Mark Frazer.

Welcome - Mark Frazer in NZ keeps an antipodean register. Does the SS1 registrar (reliant-reviver) have your details? AFAIK that's the only small sports in Oz?

The SS1 registrar does have my details , but Mark Frazer probably doesn't. AFAIK too its the only one here. She was exhibited in the classic car display at the 2012 Wings Over Illawarra air show ( woi.org.au ) on May 6th after a frantic dash to get her suitable for the occasion.

Re: Just how many SE6 cars are over here now?
No, its the registration number of the car, which in turn was inspired by a loco on the Swanage railway ( close to where I used to live) , which in turn was named after the real thing . I couldn't think of a different username at the time. Good job I only have one (Reliant) car or I would have had more decisions to make! I thought it had a nice ring to it , but at $400/year for the personalised registration, I'm not sure how long I will keep it on. At least it is offset by the car being less than 1000kg, hence counts as a microcar here and has half price road tax!

Hi, and welcome to the forum.
There are a number of Scimitar owners in OZ, I suspect one or other of them will pop up shortly
. I suspect if you *can* find one for sale down there, it may be easier than importing one, but I may be wrong. Good luck anyway!
