SE8 Front Bumper Valances

Post by turpsey123 » Sat Aug 15, 2015 12:52 pm

I don't know about anyone else but my front bumper valance looks like it has made contact with every speed bump it has driven over during its 34 years on the road. Mine is now in such poor condition that the centre section under the grille broke off last weekend.

I did consider a Will Sparrow bumper conversion but i'm not keen on the look really. I've also tried Graham Walker without success, I suppose i'll have to keep my eye out on eBay.

6b and GTC do suffer with a low scoop but as with any GRP parts are fairly straight forward to repair / have repaired.

In most cases I would agree with you, I've done the odd repair on a Reliant Kitten I own. I was intending to fix it until last night when I realised quite how bad it was. The whole thing seems to be just wood screws and filler!

I had to totally rebuild mine on my first GTC - there's also the option of fitting a 6a bumper?
