Engine Dress Up kits

Post by sciminut » Sat Jul 06, 2013 3:05 pm

Hi Everyone

Just a quick poll feed back on this new process a friend and I are doing.....

Currently most parts of an engine can be done "Carbon" shown on timing cover for an Essex Engine is just a trial part (still a bit of work to do)

Plan is to provide the following:

Rocker Covers
Inlet manifolds
Timing Covers
Thermostat housing
Oil pan
Could do almost anything in the near future (fully running in two weeks)

My plan is to do complete sets for the Essex Engine to order on an Exchange basis due to the week turn round time

Could do SST parts if plenty of interest will post further pictures

Phil

Very nice - what I would really like is the same finish for the front of my MB and possibly the GTC to replace the stupid plastic front currently on the cars - I may not be alone.

Very nice, Phil. I'm sure there'll be a lot of interest.
I'd be interested in having some straight six engine and some non engine parts done in future if you willing to do other bits?

Indeed, you may not be alone Peter - I'd echo your comments as far as the Se6a dummy grille is concerned, and also the headlamp surrounds. :D

(in fact, maybe the rear quarter vents as well?)

I could for an SST Centre console and cubby, steering column shrouds and what about an instrument cowl that doesn't blister in the sun .... what about replacing the wood inserts with carbon fibre.

I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.

Because I have several of each bit, I'm thinking of having a chrome, a carbon, a body colour, a black and a silver rocker cover and cross brace and interchange as I like :)
