1990 SS11600

The ad is from a used car dealer in Soest NL, and he says it doesn't start on gas but it does start on brake cleaner.
Anyone know anything about this car? looks like it has been registered in Holland already a few years. Couldn't really make out the number plate from the pictures.

Looks like 11-XR-LG to me - and RHD.
€1950 is optimistic IMO for something that doesn’t run properly and obviously needs lots of work, even for mainland Europe. Happy to deliver half a dozen cars in the same condition if they’ll sell at that price

Car is on Dutch plates since 2007. No valid APK (=MOT) since 2008. So of the road for ten years now.
Car looks bad. I think it is at the garage / breaker near the railroad track. I noticed it a few months ago from the train. Even on that distance it did not look decent.
So verdict... As Jim states: you buy cheaper and better in the UK. I bought a full MOT'd good running en serviced 1800ti in the UK last year near that asking price. Adding 250 euro for getting it home (driving + ferry) and another E250 for a set of headlights and another E 250 for getting it registered on Dutch plates.
Basic price is E1200 (excluding costs mentioned above). Just over 1K in pounds. So not cheap, but also not that expensive. Downside will be: getting it roadworthy again will double/triple the asking price.
So only do it if you are willing to do a project.

Indeed, just that we don't see them that often this side of the water, so I thought I'd post it.
I'm also looking in UK, but transport makes it more difficult to first get there and then bring it back
Anyway, too low on finances for the moment but I keep looking... one day...

Bit steep, but not wildly far out. Would want to know where the door cards have gone, but otherwise looks like a complete and unmolested late galv 1600. A clean up would do wonders I'm sure!
