Belgian SE5 again

Post by DARK STAR » Tue Jan 17, 2017 3:46 pm

This ad from 2012 shows a car that was for sale on and off for years, I think it was probably finished by then (apart from the red engine bay?) but still in the hands of the same owner, former proprietor of Garage Go-Mini in Beersel, Bruxelles which apparently went broke some time ago.
I came across the link the other day, you can find the car on Scimitar France if you search for the garage on internet
I am intrigued by the claim that the car features in the latest film of Claude François (Clo-clo) who died in 1978 ...

If this is the original add from 2012 it might refer to the then-released movie "Cloclo" - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Way_(2012_film)
Anyone seen it? Does it feature a Scim??? Have to ask my boss, he is a HUGE fan, even named his daughters after songs from Cloclo...

I found the film on the Web - but I'm not going to spend 148 minutes watching it on the off-chance that there might be a few seconds of Scimitar footage
Best bet is your boss, I think ...

Looks very much like it, well spotted Jim.
But it's not the right film :W

Not seen it either (honest), I only take my responsibilities as Registrar so far. There's also a volume 2 according to IMDB, but I'm guessing that one doesn't include a Scimitar and is therefore inferior.

Very interesting nonetheless that the Scimitar made it into this particular one and so recently - will certainly be browsing IMCDB for a bit.

Chris do you know whether the car is still for sale or has moved on? Would be interested!

I think the owner moved abroad, but I've no idea what happened to the car unfortunately.
If you are looking for a SE5/a this one is better ...

Absolutely, I agree this one is spectacular - as it is also spectalularly out of a student's price range!
