Sorry I've been so long replying to this, I just haven't had time to research.

The car was for sale in july last year by Hervé Vallet in Puy-de-Dome (63) at 1 500 euros.
It was a bit of a mess, now it has obviously had quite a bit of work done and it looks much better so the price may be reasonable.
No idea who or what is involved though.

Here are last year's pics ...

It looks much better on the new pics indeed ... but still on english plates and no pics of the engine bay :?
Le Bon Coin allows up to 5 pics (no more) so if I were to sell a car I would definitely put 5 pics in my ad

Hi, I have just had to re import a Citroen Picasso into the UK, (March 2015) it was initially UK registered (The rear suspension died as we came off the Newhaven Ferry) we had to buy a stopgap to get back,

What you have to do.

Register on the website government gateway this site is used for all types of bits and bobs, however dig deep enough and there is an import declaration Customs and VAT section, they will want the Car info etc, I found as I owned the car I could put the value in a zero!! and it was excepted? so no duty to pay, if this was due to age of car or previously UK registered I do not know, I did use the original UK reg number, but it was on French Plates, so in my case no money to pay and the Customs notify DVLA that the car has been imported, this releases the hold that the car will have on the Reg if it has been previously exported, or with cars never registered in the UK system it gives the DVLA the chassis number to recognise your application. Hope this is of use.

I can't remember seing it on Scimitar France Chris (?) but maybe it had moved from another part of France :?
Already on french plates by the look of it ... and a funny GTE logo on the front grille ...

Cheers,
Fred

This was an excellent car when sold by Alan Fretwell in 2014.
The buyer Frédéric Peyrault was going to keep me updated but seems to have lost interest.
Here's what it looked like chez Alan in Cotes d'Armor (22) ...

But John, it is a practical, comfortable four seater estate car, what more could she want?

LOL, There isnt enough room for a sensible reply, there is a possibility that we may be moving back to the UK, ( Wife's work commitments) neither of us want to as France has been so kind to us, we've even held off on registering the Voyager in France but time is marching on the insurance company although very helpful has us on monthly cover note's, so looks like I will have to do the Prefecture dance once again (if I do can I ask you for the address for the office in Nice as Grasse is very hard work I also have to tell them the Citroen isnt in France any more I suppose that will be another ream of A4!!) so we are in the proverbial Limbo at the moment. But I have been well and truly hooked with a Scimitar purchase, in the future, its been interesting reading the forum, have been for the last week, barely touched the surface, and headaches from looking at the pc too long LOL

Ah, hope you can stay, it would be a shock to move back to the UK ... mind you the weather there is much more reasonable at the moment.
The address of the Centre Administratif is 147 Bd du Mercantour but that won't do you much good.
Take the autoroute, exit 51 (I think it's marked aéroport) and AFTER the second roundabout turn right and you have arrived.
Don't forget any of the papers ;)

We both agree it would be a shock to return to the UK, I am afraid to say when we returned for a Visit in March we both said we did not feel safe, not good, my family are in Southampton and the wife's Manchester, we have been here for five years and to be honest never met any Hostility from the French people we were told to expect, yes I have been chastised by French especially when in Hospital for not being able to speak the language, fully understandable I may add, but my attitude is give it a go, sign language works LOL, I use Junction 50 once a month to visit the Archet2 Hospital, and obviously 51 for the Airport, the road has recently changed and there is just the one roundabout off the Payage, I will consult Mr Google to work out what's what, I enjoy a challenge!! Thank you again for the information.

At last another Scimitar for sale in France.
A car that has been cherished in the past but has not been used for 7 years.
It is a runner but needs some work to be really roadworthy ...

... and yet another 5a - I believe - just came up on screen this morning

They do say 'price to be discussed before the car' ... well, 10 euros is a good starting point

ANOTHER green one for sale! It used to be white.
Jacques Marmier has done a lot of work on the car but apparently has lost interest.
I can't remember which white SE5a with Dunlop wheels it is (ie whose it was before), I'll have to search ...
