Apologies to all language teachers!
Flying to Cyprus from UK in an RAF Avro Andover, we stopped at the French Air Force base at Istres(?) near Nice. We had to drink some cool water from one of the big flasks and had to replenish it. I walked over to a French aircraft fitter pointing to the flask and, from my school days, asked "Excusie moi, ou est l'eau, sil vous plais?"
In a very refined Chelsea accent came the reply, "Just around the corner, old chap" !!!!!!!!!
This report was written in a Yorkshire accent as there are no French accents, graves or cidilers on my i-pad!
For any other General Discussions which are Europe specific
