Latest swiss car photos

Post by DARK STAR » Fri Feb 14, 2014 9:12 pm

The photos are not all recent, but they are new to me, as are a couple of the cars ...

Starting with a pair of superb Coupés, the blue one belonging to Oli Hofmann and the white stripey one ... who does that belong to, Oli?
And an SE5 pictured in Langenbruck in 2011, about the time it was for sale at Walser Wunschauto in Ettingen.

Next a trio of SE6a's, they were all at the Zurich show - but not all the same year!

The green car (or blue, depending on the light!) is very well-known, it is the ex-Geneva Show, ex-Bahman Cars LHD model, which was last pictured at Morges in 2012.
The red car was also at Morges and pops up from time.
The other I don't think I recognise, but Oli might, as I see it is registered in Aargau canton ...

Finally a few small cars ...

An old photo of a LHD Kitten in the Swiss Jura. (it looked much smarter without stickers last year at OSMT Zug - sorry, I haven't time to search the link.)
An SS1800ti for sale at Touring Garage Oberweningen in 2012.
A Scimitar Sabre at a classic car meeting in Graubunden in 2010.

Oops. just noticed in fact that kitten isn't LHD - but the other is, and it's the same colour!

Hello Chris,

Are there any Kittens in France ?? They look great ... I bet my daughter would like one like this :)
She's got a taste for atypical cars ... I wonder where it's coming from   ?
I know ... first things first ... I'll take care of my Scimi soon

Cheers,
Fred

PS. thanks for all the pics by the way :D ... it looks like a visit to Switzerland would be worth 8)

Hello James,

Actually I went to Evreux on Monday before last ... and I need to write to the owner this week-end,
to let him know that I won't get it  Nothing really wrong with the engine, however the steering
is very hard and I doubt that anyone else but me would drive it at home  Even though I am used
to straight steering - none of the TVR or Caterham has PS - this one looked very stiff ... while the other SE5
that I had tried before was pretty 'light' on the steering  Chris reckons that it might be the bloody trunnions :P
Besides the car had done only about 2000 miles over the last 17 years ... so there is a bit of uncertainty
as to where it had remained for a good part of its life

My mind is set now ... I'll pay a second visit to the 'notorious purple' - as stated by Chris in another thread 8) -
and I hope to give you good news within a week or so. Things are going slowly ... but surely :D

I haven't gone to the 'Rendez-vous de la Reine' yet ... but that's on my to-do list :D
Will you be there tomorrow ?

Keep in touch !
Fred

No, unfortunately the Coupé is still on axle stands as I'm waiting for some parts from England! Typical isn't it? I took her off the road at the beginning of January, thinking that I would do all the work while it's really cold and snowing, and we've had some pretty nice days just lately. I really hate it when it's dry and I can't use the car!

When she's back on the road I'll let you know. In fact I'll probably come over your neck of the woods one weekend and come to your monthly meet, it's been a couple of years since I went to Fontainebleau and it makes a nice run out! :D

Yep ... I know the feeling ... the Tiv has been 'off the road' for a few months last year :(
But since I have the Cat as well ... I never run out of toys

Please let me know whenever you feel like driving down here ... it would be great to see the coupe
turning up the road at our meeting, eh eh 8) You'd be welcome to join us for lunch - or picnic if it's
a nice day - before heading back home ... I know of a place in the middle of the forest which is famous
amongst local car clubs ... the Seveners gather there once a month, other clubs too ... the setting
is great and food excellent

Keep in touch mate !
