Day 3 / Sunday 5th of June

The Scimitar & MG gang had carefully organized an early breakfast & departure from the campsite, since we did not want to miss the Trophee Legende - cars from the 20's & 30's - which was scheduled shortly before 10:00am

Of course nothing ever goes by the timetable, and several races had been shuffled this Sunday, with the Trophee Legende being held at ... 5:00pm

Group C racing came first:

Back to the carpark area for lunchbreak, we discovered that the Bugatti club had lined up a huge selection of cars ... simply superb pieces of mechanic - I could spend the whole afternoon shooting at little details on those cars !! -

Back on track with the Touring Cars U2TC race:

And ... yesss, here they were at last ... the long awaited oldies of the Trophee Legende:

While some of us had to leave early this afternoon, we were only a handful left from English Rencart, watching one last race:

Thanks ! I am glad that you like the pics
Here is the end of the story ...

Day 4 / Monday 6th of June

Only 5 cars and 8 people left, Monday was dedicated to cruising back home through the smallest roads available ...
Valerie & Philippe who are also bikers and know the area pretty well took us through tiny one-lane - yet two-way traffic - country roads ... also helped by a few unexpected detours - because of a fallen bridge -

Leaving the campsite at 10:00am we managed to reach Fontainebleau around 7:30pm, with a 3-hour break at Vezelay to visit the famous basilique which is one of the starting points on the road to St Jacques de Compostelle !

Just like in all the Asterix albums ... the story ends with a banquet
