Stonehaven Queen Elizabeth Caravan Park

Post by scimjim » Thu Dec 12, 2013 10:48 pm

An ex-military serviceman who is travelling around Britain on a mobility scooter has said he is "flabbergasted" to have been turned away from Stonehaven's Queen Elizabeth Caravan Park today because his vehicle didn't "meet their requirements". Mark Newton, who is 8 months into his challenge, said that it is in direct contrast to his reception at other sites, where he has often had his fee waived and a donation made to the five charities he is supporting.

After this was aired on "Original 106FM" the Regional Director of the Caravan Club personally contacted Mark to apologise for the misunderstanding this afternoon.
