Finished engine bay

Post by Simon644g » Sun Apr 28, 2019 12:20 pm

Just finished replacing the timing gear, replaced the oil pump drive and run a new fuel line. Also completed the improvements with the wiring.
And I have to say for a girl who is 51 this year she started first time and whilst there is a noticeable whine (which I am assured will diminish with miles) from the Aluminium gear sounds fantastic.

clip the expansion pipe to the alternator bolt, otherwise the pully cuts it.

Looks great.

If I may tentatively point out some improvements which could be made, in the interests of complimenting your excellent work?

How about one of these to sharpen up that bracket?

Does the bonnet stay have overspray on it? Maybe a lick of black paint would make that look as good as the rest?

Thanks guys for your input, sticker great idea.
Yes it is overspray and I have since used a little wire wool to remove it.
To the trained eye it can be seen that there are a few things to finish e.g washer pipe etc which have since been completed. It's far from perfect but like good wine it improves with age !!!
