Having done all of the Scimitar drawings I then did a couple more - the Elan+2 and Bristol 403 for friends. The Bristol was harder than I expected - I thought it would be Scimitar like as its older but there was a lot more wiring in it and to add to the confusion some symbols like this below.
There are a few letters in double circles which turned out to be the legends on the knobs - fortunately the friend I was doing he drawing for twigged what they were but why they are on a wiring drawing I don't know. Anyway to the point of this mail - if anyone wants a coloured wiring drawing done for their "other" classic send me a copy of the B/W drawing you have and I will produce a coloured one for you. To do this I need a good copy which shows the wire colours ( in the normal letter form ) - only classics please and don't be in a hurry for the return - I will have some time to spare as I don't want to be working on cars through the winter months.

Peter, that’s a great offer and thanks for your hardwork and diligence on the Scimitar diagrams.

Peter,
I hope you don't mind, but I have just run your 6a diagram through photoshop to produce a jpeg file and ordered a 30"x20" print to compensate for my failing eyesight.
Thanks once again,
Stu

Jpeg's are not that good to use as they distort the colour close up ( merging one with the one net to it to make a average ) - I do the drawings as bmp's then convert to PDF's to reduce the size of the file - PDF's do not affect the colours.

What program do you use to draw them Peter

I use Paint Shop pro and save the basic drawing as a BMP

Peter,
I should have contacted you beforehand. The print has arrived and (to my eyes) the only problem on the finished print is that the symbols for the horns are a bit crude. My printshop will only take files in PSD (photoshop native) or JPEG and they convert everything else to JPEG anyway. Aren't computers supposed to make life simpler?

I got used to PSP and bmps as we used them at work - 2 stage bmps for valve/switch and pump states etc and FLV's to show machines running props tuning etc. Trouble is there are too many systems out there each promoted by different vested interests.
