Fuel pump relay.

Hi Guys,

I'm chasing an annoying misfire and I'm wondering if a relay that pulls in the fuel pump and ignition might be breaking contact momentarily. I have a Durite 180 amp relay and that's probably overkill for a furl pump and ignition. It's been there since I've had the car.

Any sugestions what current rating I should go for with a replacement? 30A?

I can't see the pump but I wouldn't have thought it draws more than a few amps? And the ignition can't be more than 5 surely?

Any sparkys want to chip in?

A 30A relay would normally do the job and is the "standard" relay rating for automotive use.

Thanks Phil,

Have one on order, I'll keep you posted. (I probably have several in a box *somewhere*, but at £2.99 delivered on fleabay who could argue?).

Mark.
