Slow Rev. Counter Action

Post by Ian Lock » Fri Mar 16, 2018 8:58 pm

When I start my se6a (1981) ford v6 auto with choke on the rev. counter takes a few seconds to start moving . Sometimes I tap the glass and it moves then this happens almost every time . Once it moves it stays moving and reads correct revs as far as I can ascertain .Can someone throw some light on it for me . thanks.

It’s a “feature” - a bit of stiction in the mechanism.

Sadly I don’t know a cure..

Never try and argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you based on experience.
